2. Analysis History

  • SEO analysis results from pages you've analyzed
  • Stored locally in Chrome's storage
  • Never uploaded to external servers

🔧 How We Use Information

1. Perplexity AI (https://www.perplexity.ai)

  • Your API key is sent to Perplexity's servers

2. WhoisXML API (https://whoisxmlapi.com)

  • Used for: Domain WHOIS and registration data
  • Your API key is sent to WhoisXML's servers
  • Subject to WhoisXML's Privacy Policy

3. Google DNS (https://dns.google)

Required Permissions

1. activeTab

  • Why: To analyze the SEO elements of the page you're viewing

2. scripting

  • Why: To inject content scripts for page analysis
  • What it does: Enables extraction of SEO data from web pages

3. storage

  • Why: To save your API keys, settings, and analysis history locally
  • What it does: Stores data in Chrome's local storage (on your device only)

4. notifications (optional)

  • Why: To notify you when analysis is complete
  • What it does: Shows browser notifications

5. contextMenus (optional)

  • Why: To add quick-access SEO tools to right-click menu
  • What it does: Adds context menu options

Host Permissions

  • Google domains (google.com, google.co.uk, etc.)
    • Why: To perform keyword ranking checks
    • What it does: Allows searching Google and extracting search results

🛡️ Data Security

Local Storage

  • All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API
  • API keys are stored in Chrome's local storage (not sync storage)
  • Data is isolated per Chrome profile

No External Storage

  • We do not operate any servers
  • We do not have a database
  • We cannot access your data

👤 Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

  1. View Data: All data is stored locally in Chrome's storage
  2. Delete Data:
    • Clear API keys via API Settings
    • Clear history via History modal
    • Uninstall extension to remove all data
  3. Export Data: Not applicable (all data is already on your device)

Data Retention

  • Data is retained indefinitely in Chrome's local storage
  • Data is automatically deleted when you:
    • Clear the extension data
    • Uninstall the extension
    • Clear Chrome's browsing data (if you select "Extensions")

👶 Children's Privacy

Our extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
